A couple weeks ago was World Nature Conservation Day! Read more to learn what that means and what we can do.
A healthy environment is the foundation of a healthy life. World Nature Conservation Day is a powerful reminder that we all share the responsibility to protect our planet. We must protect our natural resources.
Take a moment today to reflect on our relationship with nature. The world is in the middle of a large climate, pollution, and biodiversity crisis due to human activities responsible for habitat destruction and irresponsible use of our natural resources. It is time to act.
While conservation alone will not save the planet right away, it is a step in the right direction. We need modern, fresh, and updated ideas that are rooted in the goal of saving the planet for generations to come.
On July 28th, and any day moving forward, contribute to the preservation of our world by gardening, cleaning up your neighbourhood, and supporting conservation organizations. Take some time today to educate yourself and others on nature conservation- read a book, watch a documentary, and spread awareness.
This day should not be the only time you focus on nature – try and keep up with eco-friendly habits throughout the year! Turn off the lights when leaving a room, volunteer for community clean-ups and other events, compost, and limit the use of one-use plastics.
