MAKING CHANGE IN PARRY SOUND

What is the GBYCC?

We are a youth-led climate collective based out of Parry Sound focusing on climate action in and around our community.

What do we do?

We often work with various local organizations (Including The Drop & The Georgian Bay Biosphere) to host programs for other youth like us and facilitate cleanups and volunteer opportunities!

What’s new?

The GBYCC was recently featured in a great article by Taylor Clark that details our attempt to organize a cleanup by the Parry Sound Walmart which was unfortunately halted.

Hill said the experience has been a learning curve for the collective, leading down various paths to collect with the proper people to ultimately receive a short response asking the group to “not do anything in (the) parking lot.”

Ready to get involved?

We're always welcoming new members. Whether you're interested in volunteering for the occasional cleanup or becoming a leader in your community, we offer plenty of volunteer opportunities.
